Jeff Reene serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the University
of Kansas Cancer Center. He is responsible for overseeing
all business related issues including handling growth and infrastructure. Additionally,
he serves as Executive Director of the Midwest Cancer Alliance,
working with Dr. Gary Doolittle.
Background
Reene has over twenty years of experience in
business management through various entrepreneur projects. He served as senior
executive of Cerner, GeoAccess and Accenture. Reene has
exceptional experience in tackling operational challenges of
growth. While serving as Executive Vice President at
Cerner Corporation from 1991-1999, Reene worked to grow the
corporation from a $50M to $400M in revenue and from 300 to
3,000 people. Reene built and managed key operational
organizations including a 1,000 person, $100M consulting business
during his career.
Reene is actively involved in the Kansas City entrepreneurial
community serving on several Advisory Boards and as a board member
of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County. He received
a Director’s Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement from
the Kauffman Foundation, where he speaks on keys to successful
growth.
Reene graduated with honors from the University of Illinois
where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and
his Masters of Business Administration.
